Important Changes to the Cyber Essentials Scheme

In 2020, the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) will implement some changes to the Cyber Essentials scheme to prepare it for the future. The current five Cyber Essentials accreditation bodies will be replaced by one. From 1 April 2020, The IASME Consortium will operate as the sole accreditation body for the scheme.

In the meantime, and in line with current arrangements supported by the NCSC, we will continue to be certified under CREST, and our certification will remain valid until our next renewal, when we will switch to the new accreditation body. Please contact us if you require any further information about this change.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is an excellent baseline for all suppliers when it comes to protecting against cyber attacks, and we welcome any enhancements to the scheme that will ensure it continues to deliver on its objectives.

October is National Cyber Security Awareness month in the USA, so its a good time for us all to reflect on what we can do to stay safe online. To find out how we can help protect you and your organisation from the most common cyber chrime threats, please get in touch.
